“I love showing people we have endless possibilities and this is a great cause to show people anyone can stop smoking.”
Chelsea – Only 22 years old but a secret smoker for the last five years. Quitting for her future.
“I started smoking when I was 17. I didn’t like it, but I did it because I was at a new school and I felt it made me fit in. At first, I would only take a drag and then let someone else finish it, but it wasn’t long before I started hanging out with a chain smoker—and I started to do the same. I now regret starting and wish I could stop, yet I don’t know where to start. I haven’t tried to quit yet because I want to make sure that when I quit, I quit for good. I went from smoking two packs a day down to smoking a third of a pack a day. Now it is time to stop. I am engaged to a smoker who wants to stop as well, but he won’t stop until I do. Reading about the Be A Quitter campaign gave me determination. I love showing people we have endless possibilities and this is a great cause to show people anyone can stop smoking. Why not show the world that it IS possible? If I can help others in the process, it gives me more reason to do it. Not only would I be saving my body, I will be giving other people hope in saving theirs.”
